Gen Z and Virtual Worlds researcher https://www.divinemaloney.com/research

This is a list of Avatar creation tools that I am exploring and reason’s that they are connected to Generation Z.

For the creation of my first 2D Avatar, which will become my Vtuber persona, my research led me to Fiverr.com, which is a website dedicated to connecting creatives, with people who need things done… Ive known about this site for a good few years, and the site has been around a while, its even listed on the NYSE and trading at $200 a share, and so, its well established and does what it says… the name is mis-leading, as it implied that you get everything for a Fiverr — which is why ive never really used it, as it kinda implies exploitation of the freelancer.. and as a freelancer, thats the last thing I would want to do..

But those asumptions are complelty my own, made up in my own head.

What I have found on Fiverr is a fantastic creative community, which is highly skilled, do what they say, deliver on time and via a user rating system, where both you the buyer, and the creative doing the work, are left reviews, means that — great people rise to the top, and there can be no room for mediocre.

I placed an advert with https://www.fiverr.com/kagaminelen123?source=gig_cards&referrer_gig_slug=draw-you-anime-style-in-chibi&ref_ctx_id=3e66c854dca996dd1f3798f681d1b158 to create my 2D Avatar, and I will detail this in my ‘Prototype’ section of my report.

The first thing we needed to create was a chracter sheet, this would be the front, back and profile drawing of the character, and once we have this, we can move to create this as a moving Vtuber.

The process will be outlined on the ‘Prototype blog for Vtubers’ coming soon.

Personal 3D avatars for games and VR

A customizable avatar solution helping you stand out from the crowd.

Genies has partnered with Giphy to bring its custom 3D avatars to the animated GIF search engine.

That’s a big deal for Genies‘ effort to reach the mass market. The Facebook-owned Giphy has more than 700 million users who go to the search engine daily to find animated GIFs, or those silly animated images associated with internet memes and recorded in graphics interchange format (GIF).

AVATAR & NFT SDK

Bring Culture’s favorite avatar to your platform.

Animoca Brands and its subsidiary, TSB Gaming, said that The Sandbox blockchain-based gaming world is gaining momentum with its marketplace where players can buy or sell user-generated game items and virtual land based on nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

The Sandbox Marketplace debuted last week. It’s a place where folks could use their $SAND game currency to purchase a wide range of NFTs created by a variety of artists. The first phase of the beta shop includes just over 100 NFTs from 46 artists, and the company will be adding more gradually, before opening the marketplace to everyone.
